For immediate release.
St. Catharines, ON – Niagara Workforce Planning Board (NWPB) is calling on all Niagara residents age 15 and over to take part in the Labour Market Insight Survey. 2019 marks the inaugural year of this online, Niagara-focused survey, and it will be publicly available to all Niagara residents until Friday, November 1. Before the survey reaches its end, NWPB is looking to hear as many voices as possible represent themselves in the survey – including yours!
Niagara employees, jobseekers, and self-employed individuals are invited to give their opinions on subjects ranging from job availability and satisfaction, to education and training, to workplace mental health. Niagara Region Public Health has partnered with NWPB to help create the most concise, impactful questions possible on these important topics, and ensure that the survey gathers good data while remaining fast and easy to complete.
“Given the ever-changing nature of the workforce, we always want to be sure that we’re serving the needs of everyone who participates in it,” said Vivian Kinnaird, CEO of Niagara Workforce Planning Board. “We feel it’s important to gain an understanding of how the working experience in Niagara looks from as many perspectives as possible, to get a complete picture of what’s helping people thrive, and where we can focus on making improvements that will help people and businesses prosper. The more we know, the better we’re able to help those who may be struggling.”
The Labour Market Insight Survey remains open for responses until Friday, Nov. 1, 2019. All survey submissions are kept 100% anonymous, and the collected data allows NWPB to advise employment service providers and employers in their recruitment & retainment efforts.
